Ewa Michalik came to England in 1970s. Having completed a degree in pharmacology at Chelsea College in London she found herself increasingly drawn to the kitchen of her husband’s restaurant. She started working there in 1991.

Ewa Michalik, ex-opera singer, has been a frequent guest on BBC4 and BBC5 cookery broadcasts. She has also prepared traditional dishes (characteristic to Polish Christmas Eve or Easter Sunday) for BBC and Sky programmes such as Food Market on Eastern European.
